Technical Lead – Non Unix
Responsibilities
- Plans and assigns engineers to work on preventive maintenance / projects
- Reviews preventive maintenance reports
- Reviews project status reports
- Plans and reviews preventive maintenance process
- Reviews and enhances preventive maintenance report templates / project documentation
- Ensures preventive maintenance is carried out in a timely manner
- Ensures projects are completed within stipulated timelines
- Reviews preventive maintenance reports with customer.
- Monitors and assigns incident tickets and ensures these are escalated according to process and updated accordingly
- Ensures all tickets attended to meet contractual Service Level Agreements
- Follows up on incident ticket status and reviews and ensures incident reports are submitted in a timely manner
- Follows up on project ticket status and closes tickets when projects are completed.
- Monitors and ensures problem management reports are submitted in a timely manner
- Coordinates with the technical team to prepare problem management reports
- Reviews problem management reports
- Leads problem management and resolution in the supported products.
- Leads and manages projects related technical implementation issues.
- Defines project risks with Project Manager on project implementation activities and tasks
- Implements advanced / complex solutions
- Assists in maintenance tender Scope of Work and tender clarifications
- Provides costing for incident support / define project scope of work and man-days required
- Attends tender briefings and provides input to pre-sales on complex solutions
- Plans for Levels 1, 2 and 3 engineers’ technical training requirements
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years managing a small team in an IT related environment
- Ability to configure and design infrastructure solutions based on Vmware / Microsoft /Storage solutions.
- Good knowledge in IT troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Available to be on 24/7 standby (weekly rotation basis) and able to work after office hours, weekends and on Public Holidays if situation demands.
- Good working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS & DHCP, Windows operating systems configuration, troubleshooting & implementation.
- Good working knowledge of networking, eg. TCP/IP and routing.
- Knowledge of Backup solutions (Veritas, Veeam or EMC Networker) and SAN Storage (EMC/NetApp) are added advantage
- Technical skills requirements in any of the following areas :
- MS Windows OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V, SQL, SCCM, SCOM etc
- VMware vSphere, vCenter, SRM, HA
- HP or IBM Servers, Blade Servers, Storages
- Preferred Minimum Certifications: MCITP, MCTS, MCSE, MCSA
- Any of the following Certification will be a plus: VMware VCP6, HP ATP, AIS, ASE, MASE and ITIL
