VMware Signs Partnership with CTC Malaysia to Drive Cloud Adoption through “As-A-Service” Solutions; Accelerates Transformation for Enterprises in Malaysia

• CTC Malaysia selected as first transformation partner in Malaysia to offer infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS); disaster-recovery-as-a-service (DRaaS) and first-class cloud solutions to navigate an increasingly complex cloud environment.

MALAYSIA – January 14, 2018 – VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW), a leading innovator in enterprise software, has signed a partnership with CTC Global Sdn Bhd (CTC Malaysia), one of the leading IT solutions providers in Malaysia, to drive cloud adoption and help Malaysian enterprises in their digital transformation journeys. As VMware’s first transformation partner in Malaysia, this enables CTC Malaysia to offer cloud services through an “as-a-service” business model to enteprises seeking flexibility, agility and streamlining of workflows.

The partnership is aligned with Malaysia’s rapidly growing appetite for cloud adoption – the country was recently ranked 8^th on Asia Cloud Computing Association’s Cloud Readiness Index 2018 – ahead of its Southeast Asian neighbours including the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam. Furthermore, IDC predicted that local enterprise spending in Malaysia on cloud services and cloud-enabled hardware, software and services will hit US$621 million by 2021.
