Role Summary:
The Business Manager, Cloud is responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy, sales playbook development, and revenue growth for assigned business categories. This role ensures achievement of revenue and gross profit targets, oversees vendor management, and aligns vendor strategies with corporate goals. The Business Manager, Cloud also provides leadership in business planning, marketing initiatives, and profitability analysis, while building strong relationships with key vendors, customers, and internal sales organizations. The Business Manager, Cloud is also required to work closely with the Head, Cloud & Utility to formulate business strategies, support strategic decision-making, and coordinate all business-related activities to ensure alignment and successful
execution.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Business Strategy and Development
• Develop and implement go-to-market strategies and sales playbooks across sales channels.
• Propose and execute marketing plans, initiatives, and campaigns to achieve business objectives.
• Monitor and respond to evolving market trends, making recommendations to maximize business profitability.
• Develop business cases for onboarding new vendors and present them to leadership.
• Influence and support customers in transitioning from CAPEX model to a consumption-based model for cloud and utility services.
Revenue and Profitability Management
• Own revenue and gross profit targets for assigned business areas.
• Provide reporting and analysis of business results to key stakeholders.
• Recommend actions and initiatives to optimize margins and profitability.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key vendor partners.
• Conduct regular business reviews with vendors and align strategies with business goals.
• Ensure vendor strategies are communicated internally and aligned with organizational priorities.
Leadership and People Development
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and subordinates.
• Support the development of team capabilities to meet current and future business needs.
• Build strong internal relationships with the sales organization to drive effective execution.
Education and Experience:
Qualifications: Degree in Business, Information Technology or equivalent
