Red Hat OpenShift Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Red Hat OpenShift Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, conducting workshops, deploying Red Hat OpenShift solutions, and providing support for customer environments. This role requires deep expertise in OpenShift, Kubernetes, containerization, automation, and cloud technologies. Additionally, the candidate must possess strong communication skills to conduct technical workshops and provide guidance on best practices. Knowledge of DevOps methodologies will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect Red Hat OpenShift solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Deploy, configure, and optimize OpenShift clusters in on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Conduct technical workshops and training sessions for customers and internal teams.
  • Automate deployments and operational tasks using Ansible and other automation tools.
  • Provide support for OpenShift environments, troubleshooting issues related to Kubernetes, networking, and storage.
  • Respond to and resolve support calls, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide technical recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Document technical designs, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
  • Stay updated with the latest Red Hat OpenShift features, updates, and industry trends.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Strong expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, CRI-O, etc.).
  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies (added advantage).
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux administration, networking, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for conducting workshops.
  • Experience in handling support calls and troubleshooting customer issues.
  • Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, or OpenShift-specific certifications) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or Elasticsearch.
  • Understanding of multi-tenancy, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role, providing technical consultation and support.
