Technical Engineer – Network


  • Schedules with customers on preventive maintenance activities.
  • Performs onsite preventive maintenance activities.
  • Generates preventive maintenance reports.
  • Provides onsite or offsite support to customers.
  • Prepares incident reports if required.
  • Updates incident tickets in a timely manner in Field Service Management System.
  • Involved in department rotation standby roster.
  • Assists in generating problem management reports.
  • Responsible to carry out basic installations (single technology).
  • Assists in complicated installations & projects that involve multiple products.
  • Updates installation tickets in a timely manner in Field Service Management System.
  • Performs project deployment.
  • Ensures project deployments are according to timeline.
  • Provides input to develop project documentation.
  • Captures and updates project implementation technical issues for lessons learned.
  • Conducts project testing and commissioning with customers.
  • Updates installation tickets in a timely manner in Field Service Management System.
  • Updates timesheet in Intranet system timesheet.
  • To conduct a minimum of one knowledge sharing session.
  • To conduct CTC service review before closure of the project.


  • Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience deploying and managing infrastructure.
  • Must be CCNA certified (Cisco Certified Network Associated), CCNP, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE, FireEye SEwill be advantage.
  • Qualified candidates should have well rounded experience with full network diagnosis, configuration and problem resolution.
  • Advanced experience in troubleshooting layer 2 and 3 routing and switching issues.
  • Knowledge of protocol analysis tools used to troubleshoot layer 2 & 3 issues Technical Support for critical situations.
  • Protocol decoding and analysis using a variety of software tools e.g. sniffer, wireshark etc.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Cisco switches and routers, Wireless LAN, Cisco ASA Firewall and network management and monitoring tools.
  • Familiar with network and security components and products such as Trend Micro, FireEye, Fortigate, PaloAlto, etc.
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Possess a positive attitude with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
