Associate Field Service Engineer
Responsibilities:
- On-site Technical Support: Provide basic support for desktop hardware, applications, email, printers, and network-related issues at client sites.
- Installation and Configuration: Assist in the installation, de-installation, and configuration of MS Windows OS, applications, and user software.
- Break/Fix Troubleshooting: Perform initial troubleshooting for hardware and software issues, escalating more complex problems to senior engineers.
- Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC): Support hardware and software relocations and updates as part of project requirements.
- Preventive Maintenance: Participate in preventive maintenance activities to ensure system performance and stability.
- Escalation Management: Escalate unresolved technical issues to the Field Service Team Lead/ Supervisor for timely resolution.
- Project Rollouts and Installation: Assist in project rollouts and the installation of new systems and technologies.
- Service Level Agreement (SLA) Compliance: Ensure service requests are responded to and resolved within the agreed timeframes to meet SLA requirements.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science/ information technology or engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach and good communication skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of IT troubleshooting and root cause analysis, with working knowledge of Microsoft desktop applications and Windows OS.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English, both written and verbal; Mandarin or other dialects are a plus.
- Work Environment Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced IT environment and adjust to user requirements as needed.
- Independent Work: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Travel Requirement: Must be willing to travel within the Klang Valley and possess own transportation.
