Location(s) : Penang, Petaling Jaya, Selangor & Johor Bahru

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced technical support on the Unix platforms, maintain the operations and management for the Unix & Linux Servers.
• Responsible for the project deployment of Oracle Unix and Linux related products, upgrade of Unix and Linux Operating systems, day to day support & maintenance.
• Technical lead in project, systems integration, system assessment, migration or upgrade of Operating Systems and other third party applications.
• Ensures SLAs are met and achieve the highest customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshooting of hardware and operating system.
• Provides after office-hours offsite standby if required.
• Obtains job related Industry Certification as part of principal partnership requirement.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in IT or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years related working experience in an IT related environment preferably with good knowledge of UNIX platform.
• Possess good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Must be fluent in English and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of UNIX (Solaris/AIX/LINUX/Windows) operating systems, Oracle Cluster software, OLDOM, Containers, Oracle OVM and back-office products.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, NTP, SysLog, administration, configuration, troubleshooting & implementation.
• Knowledge of disk management software on Oracle (SVM/ZFS), IBM (LVM) and LINUX (LVM) administration, configuration, troubleshooting & implementation.
• Knowledge of networking, eg. TCP/IP and routing.
• Must possess own transport.
